Ariya completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy and Kinesiology at York University in Toronto.  He moved to Ottawa in 2015 to study law at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. While in law school, Ariya focused his studies in criminal law and did internships with local criminal defence firms. He graduated from law school in 2018 and completed his articles in criminal defence and child protection law with a busy Ottawa firm.

Ariya was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019 and joined Addelman Baum Gilbert Robinson Robinson LLP in the same year. Ariya offers services in English and Farsi, in the areas of criminal defence and child protection law.

Ariya is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the County of Carleton Law Association, and the Defence Counsel Association of Ottawa.
